Professor Rajat Baisya is an accomplished leader whose career spans executive management, higher education, and global consulting. He previously served as President and CEO of Emami Group and as Dean of the Department of Management Studies at IIT Delhi. Notably, he played a pivotal role in facilitating the Indian market entry of the Booker Group — the UK's largest food wholesale operator and former sponsor of the Booker Prize.
His extensive corporate background includes senior roles such as Vice President of Business Development at Reckitt Benckiser, General Manager (Projects) at Goetze India Ltd., and Controller of Corporate Planning & Coordination at United Breweries Group. An internationally recognized academic, Professor Baisya has held visiting professorships worldwide, including at NPU China and ENPC Paris.
He is a Certified Management Consultant, a Member of the Research Management Board for the International Project Management Association (IPMA), and a Team Lead Assessor for the International Project Excellence Award. A Fellow and former Vice President of both the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers and the Institution of Engineers, Professor Baisya also serves on the editorial boards of several international journals.
